‘NCIS’ season 14: Looking at episode 14 and beyond

NCIS -

If you enjoy “NCIS,” we unfortunately come bearing a rather-sad reminder that there is, unfortunately, no new episode of the show airing on CBS tonight. The show is off the air leading up to February sweeps, and given that Donald Trump is planning to announce his Supreme Court nominee in primetime, that may be a good thing in retrospect.

So while you wait for the next episode of the show to air, we figure that it’s best to give you the lowdown on specifically what will be coming on the other side of the horizon.

“Nonstop” – This is going to be the case featuring the arrival of the Sherlocks, the crime-fighting group who tends to play by their own rules. The thought of having Robert Wagner’s Anthony DiNozzo Sr. joining them feels like it’s perfect, mostly because this is the show finding a fun way to incorporate one of its best guest stars back into the mix. If you love Wagner and love this character, it’s hard to find a reason to be altogether upset by this.

“Pandora’s Box” – This episode is coming on February 14, and it is a two-part installment featuring this show and the “New Orleans” spin-off. It’s a chance to see an epic story revolving around a theft of a theoretical terrorist playbook. What this means effectively is that if this playbook falls into the wrong hands, it could be used as a terrible strategy guide for future attacks. They’ll be one step ahead of the U.S. Government, and they’ll put the nation in a way where they have to start from scratch all over again.

There are going to be some more episodes airing throughout the next two months, so we hope to have some further news about them soon. Consider this hiatus a temporary calm before a storm of new episodes coming up. Here’s to hoping that we get some more great character pieces like we had during “Keep Going.”
