‘Homeland’ season 6, episode 4 preview: ‘A Flash of Light’ and Saul’s crisis

Homeland -

Tonight, there is a new episode of “Homeland” coming that should give you a better sense as to Carrie settles some tensions at work. Meanwhile, at the same time Saul’s going to continue to work from afar while Dar Adal does his best to try to get through to President-elect Keane stateside. Everyone’s got difficult jobs, and given that we’re only a quarter of the way into the season so far, there is one thing that you can almost surely count on: Things getting so much worse ever before they start to get better.

In true show fashion, Showtime is not really interested in giving you too much information in advance in terms of what is coming up. With that said, we can offer you up the following: “A Flash of Light.” Meanwhile, the synopsis gives you a reasonably good sense as to what is coming up … albeit in some of the simplest terms ever.

Synopsis – “Carrie handles her client. Saul’s trip takes a turn. Quinn investigates.”

Our hope here is mostly that by the time we get to the end of the episode, there will be opportunities to see more of these stories come together — there’s been a little of that here and there, but it is hard to get a massive degree of story unity when so many people are all focusing on their own things.

Promo – This is a little more illuminating when it comes to telling the story of what is ahead, and in a number of different ways. It makes it clear as to precisely what Carrie needs to do in order to keep her client safe, while at the same time it also gives us a reasonably good sense of how much danger Saul is now in. We’re also seeing her and Dar Adal starting to clash more because of her actions; she knows that Dar is not someone who is going to back down when it comes to him getting what he wants, so she has a choice to make.
