‘Once Upon a Time’ season 6 spoilers: Sara Tomko set to play Tiger Lily
It was recently announced that “Once Upon a Time” was looking to add to some of its “Peter Pan” mythology for the season courtesy of the Tiger Lily character. Now, we know officially who is set to play her.
As first reported by Entertainment Weekly, Sara Tomko has been brought on to appear in at least two episodes of the second half of the season as the Native American princess from the Piccaninny tribe referenced in both the source material and also the popular Disney movie. It is nice to see that the show found a Native American actress for the part just for the sake of adding that much more authenticity to the story.
In speaking further to the aforementioned website about this character, executive producers Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis passed along the following message about how this story in one way or another could tie into what is going on with Captain Hook:
“As Captain Hook continues on his path to redemption, his dark past is never far away … He’s left a long line of adversaries and Tiger Lily is the latest to return and complicate his efforts to leave that past behind.”
One of the things that this show in particular is intent on reminding you over the course of its run here is that Hook was at one point one of the most notorious pirates to ever exist in the high seas. With that, he’s got his fair share of enemies, and it would not be a shock of Tiger Lily is one of them. We’re just happy to see that apparently she is alive, and that there is a chance to even get a chance to check out the future interactions between these characters.
Remember, the second half of this season of “Once Upon a Time” is starting back up on Sunday, March 5. Hopefully, there are even more announcements that we are going to get a chance to share in the weeks ahead.
