‘NCIS’ season 14, episode 13 preview: Jimmy Palmer’s rescue attempt in ‘Keep Going’

Tonight, “NCIS” is airing a new episode entitled “Off the Grid,” and one of its main goals is going to be telling a story about that very thing — specifically through the lens of one Agent Gibbs, who is going undercover at the last minute in order to try and find someone who is a part of the NCIS Most Wanted list. We anticipate this being an exciting change-of-pace episode, and it’s not the only one we’re going to get this month.

Next week, we’ll be presented with a story in “Keep Going” that is going to revolve more around one Jimmy Palmer, a character who really should be given far more screen time than he is. Regardless of all that, we’re still grateful to have this episode, it’ll be great to get a further window into seeing this guy become a hero in a that is a little atypical for him. Unfortunately, in the process of trying to do so he also ends up in a situation where his own life hangs in the balance.

Synopsis – “During an NCIS hit-and-run investigation, Palmer joins a stranger on the outside ledge of a building in an attempt to save his life.”

One of the reasons why you don’t see too many episodes of shows revolving around this sort of thing is simply because this can be such a production challenge to film. It’s with that in mind that we’re excited to see how the show chooses to make Brian Dietzen’s character and this stranger look as though they are danger, even though they’re really not. Also, it will be interesting to see how many of the other characters end up lending a helping hand — just remember for a minute here that if Gibbs and company try too hard to get the two inside, one of them could end up plummeting to their death. This may ultimately be a case about patience, and Jimmy doing everything that he can to not take any risks now that he’s already taken the risk of being out there.

In the end, there’s a lot to be excited about here! Let’s hope for some more details soon.
