‘Gotham’ season 3, episode 13 preview: Will Jerome be revived?
Through the past three seasons of “Gotham,” Jerome really has only appeared in a small number of episodes; yet, at the same time, he’s still well-regarded as one of the most notorious villains of in the show’s history. We’ve gotten the sense of some of his backstory, but also how incredibly unhinged of a guy he was prior to his death. He didn’t seem to care who he killed, provided of course that he had the means to do it and he found some sort of pleasure in the fact. He was a pure sociopath, and killing him may be one of the few debts that the city owes Theo Galavan, otherwise known as a pretty terrible dude.
Tonight on Fox, the show is going to give you a sense of just what Jerome’s story is going to look like now that he’s dead — and how there are some people who clearly don’t want for him to stay that way. This brings you into next week’s new installment entitled “Smile Like You Mean It,” which means something far more than just a good song by The Killers. This may be a Joker-like reference in its own right.
Synopsis – “On the run from Gordon and Bullock, Dwight (guest star David Dastmalchian) tries to ?revive Jerome (guest star Cameron Monaghan) and, in turn, activates his acolytes around Gotham City. Meanwhile, Selina’s mom’s (guest star Ivana Milicevic) intentions in Gotham are revealed, and the power play between Penguin and Nygma escalates as Barbara’s plans are set in place.”
Dastmalchian knows his way around villainous roles these days, as he also appears over on CBS’ “MacGyver” in the role of Murdoc. In between him, Selina’s mother, and the threat of Jerome turning up, every indication that we’re getting here at present suggests that we’re going to see Gordon and company have their hands full trying to keep the city safe. The only thing that may make things a little bit easier for him is that Penguin and Nygma may be so focused on each other that it keeps them from causing any trouble for everyone else. That’s at the very least the hope…
Promo – Are we going to see Jerome back? Well, the promo below makes it pretty clear that we’re not done seeing him just yet … and all signs point to him getting a little crazy when he’s back.
