‘Shadowhunters’ season 2, episode 3 preview: ‘Parabatai Lost’ and Jace in peril
What does “Parabatai Lost” mean? Well, if you’re a fan of “Shadowhunters” the show or the book franchise, there’s quite a bit to be excited about moving forward into next week’s episode — and you probably know what this means. If you aren’t familiar with either one of them, we have a hard time knowing exactly why you’re reading this article anyway.
This episode, the third of the season, will revolve around a number of different things, but at the center of them is going to be Jace continuing to watch his life spiral after being separated first from much of the world that he knew. This is going to be challenging for him when he faces some heavy accusations, and has to figure out a way to either secure his own safety, or have some other people do it for him. Either way, you gotta think that this is going to be a challenge (though it does sound very much exciting on the surface).
Synopsis – “Already cut off from the Institute and his friends, Jace finds his situation worsen when he becomes a target for the New York wolf pack who believe Jace to be a killer. And don’t forget about Aldertree and the Shadowhunters who continue their own hunt for Jace! With Jace becoming the most wanted man in New York, can his friends get to him before everyone else? … Meanwhile, Simon is on a search of his own as Raphael puts pressure on him to find Camille.”
Given how much of an emphasis is being put on Jace more so than anyone else in the synopsis, our gut instinct is that the vast majority of the episode will be about the character in some way. We’ll see if that holds firm when the episode airs.
Promo – As it says, the “fight for survival” is going to begin. This looks crazy, intense, and a lot of fun. Odds are, you’re going to get a chance in order to see Jace in some rather difficult places, ones that make us curious to see precisely how he gets out of them. This should be fun, and scary at times.
