‘Bones’ season 12 video: Emily Deschanel on Christmases past

Booth -While you wait for the twelfth season of “Bones” to premiere starting January 3rd, why not get a little nostalgic for some of the best of what the show has had to offer over the years? Let’s hope that you are still in the holiday spirit for this one…

In the video below, you can see what we think is a rather lovely montage of some of the best Christmases that we’ve seen on the show over the years, and you can get a good sense of the love that Emily Deschanel has of being a part of these sort of events. One of the luxuries of doing a show for so long was the opportunity to tell so many unique stories themed around the holidays, and being able to decorate the set in some new and interesting ways. Some of them are fun, some are sentimental, and some are both. We’ve always found that some of our favorite TV episodes are holidays ones just because they add that touch of relatability.

If there was one part of it that had to feel a little bit weird for the cast, we presume that it ties into the show actually having to film these episodes many weeks before the holiday season even begins. After all, it takes a little while for episodes to be filmed and go into post-production prior to them ultimately airing on TV. Think of this as a part of the TV magic that goes into making them!

We’ll see just how much time the show is going to have in celebration of various things over the course of the final season, given that there are only 12 episodes. Not much time to fit it all in! Think of everything else that is going on in between the return of Zack Addy, the mystery behind Brennan’s capture, and the wide array of other stories that could pop up out of the mythology established so far. Hopefully, this final season proves to be every bit as exciting as we imagine that it’ll be — and there’ll be some nostalgia, even if it is not directly tied into the holidays.
