‘Legends of Tomorrow’ season 2 spoilers: ‘The Originals’ alum set for Guinevere!

LegendsLegends of Tomorrow” certainly has traveled back in time on many an occasion before, and with that, we’re certainly very much intrigued by what they may be planning to do moving forward with an episode set almost entirely around Camelot! It may just not be the Camelot you expect.

We may not know much about a King Arthur right now, but we do at the very least know a thing or two more about the show’s Guinevere.

According to a report from Entertainment Weekly, Elyse Levesque (“The Originals”) has signed on to play the famous queen in an upcoming season 2 episode. This casting was first revealed by series star Caity Lotz, who shared the photo at the bottom of this article on Twitter. There’s not too much else to say, other than that this particular episode featuring the character is entitled “Camelot/3000,” a reference to a popular comic book.

Warning: Comic spoilers ahead…

“Camelot 3000” was a short-run comic series many years ago, and the base premise of it was shooting forward to the year 3000, where King Arthur and many other characters were reincarnated in order to fight a number of aliens. We’re not entirely sure that the show is telling a straight adaptation of this by any means, but we do think that this episode was titled in such a way on purpose. If we do get a chance to see a lot of references to the comic over the course of the hour, we have a feeling that we’ll be very much happy and then some!

New episodes of “Legends of Tomorrow” will start airing once more on The CW starting on Tuesday, January 24 at 9:00 p.m. Eastern time — note the change. The show will now follow “The Flash,” and we have to think that this is good for ratings (not that the show is floundering at all at the moment).
