‘Chicago Fire’ 100th episode: Did the Dawson – Casey surprise meet your expectations?
While there have been many couples around the entire One Chicago franchise over the course of the past several years, one of the most prominent ones has always been Dawson and Casey. Therefore, it did only make sense for them to be at the center of the 100th episode of “Chicago Fire” on Tuesday night, as the two had a chance to really celebrate their relationship in a way that they have not previously.
After all, is there a better way to celebrate than with a wedding?
One of the greatest things about this ceremony for the two of them was that it stayed true who the two characters were, and it was based out of the pure love that they had for each other. It wasn’t about a spectacle, or about something that was planned so long in advance to the point where some of the passion you would want wasn’t quite there. It was simple, and that was one of the reasons why it was lovely. Plus, if there was going to be a traditional wedding, we probably would’ve had to wait a while for it given that this is a show that deals with realism, and they weren’t going to do something so crazy as plan a massive wedding overnight with no buildup to it.
This event also came out of a desire for the two of them to have more of a traditional family with Louie, and since they already felt committed to each other and to him in a big way, this was just the icing on the cake. We hope that this means that the two are going to be committed to each other for the remainder of the series, largely because the last thing that we want is “Chicago Divorce” popping up somewhere. There should be enough relationship drama elsewhere so that there is no need to mess with these two; with that in mind, can we just kick back and celebrate this one for a moment?
