‘Ink Master’ season 8 finale: Live stream Ryan Ashley Malarkey, Gian Karle Cruz, Kelly Doty’s final tattoos

The finale of “Ink Master” is going to be coming onto Spike a little bit later tonight, and before you get a chance to watch that, why not take a look at what the remaining three finalists are up to?

If you may recall from the show last week, it was announced that the final three in Ryan Ashley Malarkey, Gian Karle Cruz, and Kelly Doty would all be crafting some tattoos in the hours that lead up to the episode airing, culminating in a really big reveal during the show itself. We like this concept mostly because it does add that extra air of unpredictability to the mix; one of these tattoos could end up being a total disaster, and cause the judges to change their mind at the very last second. To us, this also adds to the overall transparency of the show, given that it shows further that there are no predestined people to win the season. (We don’t think that to begin with, but recognize that this is an age of conspiracy theories where there are quite a few of them out there.)

There is a two out of three chance going into tonight that we could see the first female winner of the series, and according to a poll conducted via the show’s own official Twitter, slightly more than half of the audience believes that Ryan Ashley will take this home. This wouldn’t surprise us, given that she’s received a good story for a winner to have in the edit, whether it be as a strong artist to someone acutely aware of the strategy that can go on within this game.
