‘The X Factor’ UK results preview: Will Emily Middlemas, Matt Terry, or 5 After Midnight be eliminated before final?

The latest news -ukAn extremely odd thing has taken place within the realm of “The X Factor” UK over the course of the past two weeks: The underdog now seems to be the favorite.

There was a time when we were assuming with this show that Saara Aalto for one reason or another would be in the bottom every week, and this seemed to be backed up by the majority of the data that was out there. Now, this said data suggests that she is the favorite to win the whole thing, and be the biggest come-from-behind winner in the history of the series. There are a number of people out there making a big deal about her not hailing from the UK, but isn’t the point of this series about finding the best performer? If she is the best (and as of right now, she has through the lens of the show), she should be able to take home the title and have the career down the road.

This leaves us with three other potential contenders to go home in Emily Middlemas, Matt Terry, and 5 After Midnight. The easiest guess would be to say that this is Emily’s week to say farewell, given that 5 After Midnight, fresh off being in the bottom, seemed to use that as motivation to get better and improve. Emily was subject to some criticism, and while Matt was as well, you do have to remember that guys on this show do tend to garner more votes the majority of the time. He was our winner pick as of several weeks ago, and while Saara has the momentum right now, he’s still probably the person we’d bet on in the end.

Now that we’ve said all of this, there’s a reasonably good shot that we just jinxed Saara and she will be sent packing sooner rather than later.
