‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ preview: Phaedra Parks receives a terrifying threat
At times, there are examples on “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” of various cast members making an enormous deal out of something that is not anywhere near as important as they let on.
Now that we’ve said that, it does appear as though there is a very serious situation at the center of Sunday night’s new episode regarding a guy who showed up to Phaedra Parks’ office apparently with a grenade, threatening that he was going to blow both himself and everyone in the building up. Was this hearsay? Well, it’s interesting looking at how the show is presenting this versus some of the headlines surrounding the event when it happened a little bit earlier this year. There’s an interesting story over at TMZ that suggests that everything from potential racial profiling to a misunderstanding may have played a role.
Regardless of whatever the aftermath is, the sneak peek below is completely in the moment, and as a result of that, this has to be viewed as a serious situation and one that could turn deadly.
Synopsis – “Reeling from the news that her son, Kairo has run into trouble with the law, Sheree leans on Bob for support. Kenya and Matt’s relationship continues to spiral downward and at his surprise party, Kenya shocks guests with news about the guest of honor. While Cynthia and Noelle begin to look for a new home, Mama Joyce surprises Kandi and Todd with a special evening. On her way to visit Apollo in prison, Phaedra receives a disturbing phone call that turns her world upside down.”
In the end, the important thing to know going into this episode is that everyone ultimately was okay, and there is no reason to be worried in that regard when you watch. In addition to the drama, there are also going to be some fun moments throughout when it comes to everything from gossip to the Democratic National Convention.
