‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ preview: Momma Joyce goes off about Kandi Burruss’ ex

In what should not be a surprise to anyone at this point, Momma Joyce is going to be remaining a prominent character on “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” in some shape or form. She’s always been a lightning rod, and it’s pretty darn clear that producers know that and appreciate it. After all, why else would they continue to be bringing her back otherwise? They recognize the value in continuing to have someone back who brings it every single time.

Luckily for Kandi Burruss, in the sneak peek below Joyce is not wasting a whole lot of her time fighting with her; instead, she’s going off about Kandi’s ex, and an utter lack of child-support payments that are coming in her direction for whatever reason.

Can Kandi afford to take care of her child with her ex without a problem? Absolutely, but as she says in this preview, it’s really not even about that. Her issue is that her ex is out boasting in many radio interviews and elsewhere about all of the money he has, and yet at the same time he’s supposedly not paying any recent child support. She mentioned that she’s thought about calling in to some of these interviews to put him on blast, but she hasn’t done it. (Well, she’s now certainly doing it on this show!)

Joyce’s opinion is far harsher than her daughter’s, but you get the sense pretty easily that much of her stance on this is coming from a place where she wants to support her daughter and make sure that she is cared for properly. We’re not sure if this is going to remain an important part of this story for some time coming up, but we’re interested in finding out!
