‘Jane the Virgin’ season 3 spoilers: ‘The Last Ship’ actress cast in key role
Is Elizabeth Rohm one of the busiest people working on TV at the moment? She had an extensive role on “The Last Ship” earlier this summer as the villain Allison Shaw, and she’s also going to be appearing in season 2 of the upcoming Will Arnett – Netflix comedy “Flaked.” She’s also got a resume that includes “Law & Order” proper to go along with “Beauty and the Beast.”
So what’s next on her resume? Think the upcoming third season of “Jane the Virgin,” where it seems as though she’s got another interesting role coming up.
According to a report from Deadline, Rohm will recur heavily later this season as Eileen, a woman known for having a simple-but-effective demeanor … and also serving as a guru. She’s set to be a love interest on the show moving forward to Yara Martinez’s character of Luisa. Interestingly, this is the second time we’ve mentioned Martinez in the past few hours on the site, as she’s going to be heading over to “Bull” on CBS next week as the ex-wife to Michael Weatherly’s title character.
While it’s too early to tell how long this character will be around, we do think that there’s the potential for there to be a lot of fun here, in addition to a lot of depth. What we enjoy about this the most on paper is that it feels almost entirely the opposite of the character Rohm played on “The Last Ship,” who was extremely hard-nosed and cared for the most part about getting only what she wanted at the precise moment in which she requested it be so.
