‘Lethal Weapon’ episode 8 preview: ‘Can I Get a Witness?’
One of the things that works so well about a show like “Lethal Weapon” is that it offers up a wide array of different opportunities in order to see and develop its characters. It gives you a chance to relish and enjoy the fact that these people are interesting and multi-faceted, and don’t just check off one individual box. For example, we know that Riggs and Murtaugh can kick butt and take names better than almost anyone else out there. With that in mind, there’s something very interesting stuff coming up on the next new episode — the title for it just so happens to be in the title for this article!
Basically, Riggs is going to have to do his part to be a father figure in order to ensure that a witness is able to deliver on the information necessarily in order to resolve a case. Meanwhile, we’re also going to be seeing Murtaugh once again in harm’s way, while at the same time Riggs has to figure out precisely what he wants to do with a little bit of money. We have a feeling that this story could be particularly funny and different from the others.
Synopsis – “When a million dollar casino heist takes a deadly turn, Riggs befriends the only credible witness, an eight-year-old boy, and takes him into his care. On the flip side, Murtaugh pulls some dangerous stunts in an attempt to prove to everyone that he can be a motorcycle guy. Meanwhile, Riggs contemplates what to do with the money he received from selling his home in Texas.”
Promo – We don’t necessarily think that this gives away anything more that the synopsis does not; instead, think of this more of a further reminder of everything that this show does right. It gives you a tremendous sense of the action, while at the same time reminding you that there are lighter moments within here, as well.
