‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 13, episode 10 preview: When will Ellen Pompeo, cast return?
Tonight, “Grey’s Anatomy” will be airing its winter finale, a powerful episode that could presumably hold some key ramifications in terms of the future fr many of the show’s beloved characters.
Now, the next question that you have to ask is fairly simple: What in the world is the show going to do from here, and when will it return with new episodes? We cannot answer the first question quite so easily, but we can do our best with the second.
Per a new listing via The Futon Critic, right now the series, starring Ellen Pompeo, Chandra Wilson, and many more, will be back on Thursday, January 19 at 8:00 p.m. Eastern time. When you think for a moment about the sort of window that this show typically returns in during the winter, this is right about in the sweet spot. This gives the show a chance to air another batch of new episodes before presumably another hiatus, and if it returns at the same time that “How to Get Away with Murder” does, the Viola Davis drama will be able to air out the remainder of its season 3 episodes before the finale for it rolls around most likely in late February.
With “Grey’s Anatomy,” the majority of the season is still to come and will run through until May. This is a show that is very much about evolution, so you do need to remember that where the series stands at present is not necessarily where it is going to stand when you get a couple of months down the road and some more things begin to unravel.
Update: The promo below doesn’t really have much in the way of new footage, but it does confirm that the show will return to ABC on the aforementioned date.
