‘Mr. Robot’ season 3: Creator offers up ‘leaked’ script page about Elliot, Donald Trump

Hey, it’s November, and that’s not a time that you tend to get to discuss much in the way of “Mr. Robot” news. As a result of that, we’ll ultimately take whatever we can get. This includes the latest script “teaser” from creator Sam Esmail, who clearly is just taking advantage of the opportunity to needle the upcoming Presidential Election to a great degree.

We don’t want to say an egregious amount about Esmail’s script page, mostly because it speaks for itself and it does almost feel like one of Elliot’s hallucinations that someone like Donald Trump could be the President-Elect. We’re not even being egregiously political here; just think about it for a minute here. Did you really think four or five years ago that the host of “The Celebrity Apprentice,” who fired Maria Kanellis for a bathroom comment and brought Gary Busey insanely far into a season, would be set to the lead the entire country?

If this is a hallucination on Elliot’s part, let’s hope we see the other side faster than the whole prison reveal came to light in season 2.

The USA drama renewed “Mr. Robot” for a third season back earlier this year, and we’re obviously invested in seeing where in the world this show is going to go from here, mostly because they’ve already challenged themselves so much and brought such a wide array of different things to the table. Trying to figure out their next move at this point ultimately feels a little bit like an insurmountable task (especially when it comes to topping themselves in terms of quality), but one we’re sure they will do their best to try and figure out.
