‘Hawaii Five-0’ season 7, episode 8 video: Danny, Grover, and tension over Grace

Friday night’s new episode of “Hawaii Five-0” is just about here, and based on the sneak peeks below, there is one word that we’d use in order to describe it: Entertaining. Also, crazy. Let’s just say that if you’re the daughter of Danny as Grace is, the last thing that you want is having him chaperone your winter formal.

In the first sneak peek below, you can see Danny interrupt Grover’s card game with some news that he probably doesn’t want to hear, given that he’s currently rather busy having a good time: Grace is dating Grover’s son, and the two are getting seemingly a little too chummy for Danny’s taste at the dance. To be fair, to Danny “too chummy” may just mean that they are five feet from each other. He’s a dad! He’s going to be protective of his little girl, and that is likely amplified a million times over by the fact that he’s a police officer and he’s used to having to see the worst of any situation in order to prepare for it.

At the end of the first sneak peek, Danny claims that he’s not going to go and do something rash, only before of course going and doing something rash, mostly because he’s Danny and that tends to be the sort of stuff that the guy’s going to do in this situation. Grover’s son handles the interrogation about as well as a kid his age can, which really cannot be all that easy.

Unfortunately for Danny, he’s going to have a more pressing matter that breaks out soon in the form of a hostage crisis that erupts at the school. Suddenly, he’ll have to go from chaperone to hero in order to ensure that everyone makes it out of the situation safely and without anything terrible transpiring.

In terms of setting and creativity, the thing we’re the most happy about is that this episode simply feels different than any that we’ve seen as of late.
