‘The Real World Seattle: Bad Blood’ episode 6 preview: Orlana explains her difficult history
There is a new episode of “The Real World Seattle: Bad Blood” coming your way on MTV tomorrow night, and if there is an easy way to describe it, we figure that “emotional” would be the word we would use. After all, we’re going to be learning more about some of the cast members’ history, and for Orlana in particular, she has a devastating past that is being brought to the surface.
In the sneak peek below, you can hear about some of her struggles with depression, and how one day it led to her trying to commit suicide. She made it through to the other side, but she explained to her new-found friends in here how she felt as though Jordan treated her differently following that and their friendship wasn’t quite the same.
While it’s pretty devastating to hear Orlana’s story, from a television point of view it is no doubt compelling to see this sort of conflict play out. It’s what makes this particular season fascinating, given that you’ve got conflict resolution thrown into a reality TV environment where these people have to legitimately try and work through some of their issues in a long-form way. It’s different from one of those daytime TV shows where you go on, scream and fight, and then leave at the end of the segment. You gotta live with these people, unless you do something like what we saw last season that led to a pair of the participants being tossed.
Given that there isn’t really much of a conversation or discussion between the pertinent parties in this sneak peek, we’ll see how things play out in full come Wednesday potentially — if not then, it’ll be seen a little later this season.
