Is ‘The Flash’ season 3, episode 6 new tonight? What to watch while you’re waiting
Tonight is a very important night, but not so much from the vantage point of superhero shows. It’s Election Day! We’re not getting political here, but we do hope that everyone went out and voted.
Now, let’s talk programming. Unfortunately, election coverage happens to be a ratings titan, and this is something that The CW understandably wants no part in. Therefore, they made the oh-so-smart decision to not air a new episode of “The Flash” tonight, given that it would understandably be swallowed up in the ratings. You’ve got a week off until the episode “Shade” airs, with most early indications suggesting that this will be a big episode for Wally West. We also imagine that Caitlin herself will continue to have a big role in the story given that she’s slowly becoming Killer Frost regardless of whether or not she wants it to happen.
While you do wait for the show to return to air, we’ve got a new video below that we personally feel is plenty of fun. In it, you can see costume designer Maya Mani outline a little bit more of what goes into making some of the iconic costumes on the show, how she wanted to honor some of the original visions for the Flash costume, and the inspiration that went into The Rival’s as seen a little bit earlier in the season.
For those of you who are particularly eagle-eyed, you may also get a brief tease as to what Vibe and Killer Frost may be wearing a little bit later in the season as they get out into the field. If nothing else, maybe these are costume prototypes that offer up a sense as to what the costume department is considering.
The best part of this video, at least to us, is hearing about some of the glee that does come with wearing these costumes for the first time. The parties involved do recognize that there is a great deal of significance that comes with these costumes; it’s wish-fulfillment for many, and for the actors it’s a chance to in many ways make dreams come true.
