‘How to Get Away with Murder’ season 3, episode 8 preview: Frank’s fighting back

HTGAWM -Will Annalise Keating ever exorcise her demons on “How to Get Away with Murder“? It is a question worth answer, but one devoid of an easy answer. This is a woman who has done at times tremendous good for people who deserve that helping hand, and yet at the same time she’s also disregarded the actions of the guilty. She’s seen those closer to her die, and had her heart broken into a million pieces.

In the end, though, Annalise is a survivor, and one way or another, she finds a way to persevere through what are at times fairly impossible odds. She’s seen things stacked against her far more times than she can count, so it should not be much of a surprise that she will try to do so again even in the midst of what has happened, and what we know will happen. “No More Blood” is the title for the next episode, and at present, this certainly feels akin to a false promise that we know for sure will not be kept. When you’ve got a body under a sheet, you know that blood is as inevitable as breathing.

Synopsis – “Annalise and Bonnie turn to an unlikely source for help, bringing the tension among the Keating 5 to a head. Meanwhile, Annalise takes on a surprising client.”

We’re not looking at the most thorough examination of an upcoming episode ever, but this is par for the course these days for ABC, especially at this point in the season’s run. When the promo is unveiled later tonight, this will offer more of an adequate window into the future.

Promo – Sure, in one more episode a.k.a. the fall finale you’re going to find out who’s “under the sheet,” but the focus here is more on the situation of Frank’s return. He confronts Laurel, thinking that he cannot be anywhere else without jeopardizing the safety of himself and others. Unfortunately, the cruel irony is if he gets anywhere close to Annalise, odds are one of them is going to be going six feet under. Consider this confrontation at the end of the episode further evidence that Frank could be the one saying farewell in just a couple weeks’ time.
