‘Ink Master’ season 8, episode 11 video: Palm tattoo problems

The field of artists is slowly starting to diminish on “Ink Master,” and moving into Tuesday night’s new episode, we’re specifically going to see the remaining artists take on one of the most difficult tattoos for anyone to try to execute: Ones for the palm. They’re extremely painful, and more than that, they have a very specific technique that is difficult to master. You’re dealing with soft skin with a lot of pain receptors, and one wrong move wrecks it for someone forever.

So basically, no pressure.

In watching the sneak peek below, the biggest shocker is that the show was able to find this many people willing to get this sort of tattoo. From there, we’re not exactly losing our hair in shock that so many of these people have expectations for what they should receive that are completely bonkers. These are people who probably think it’s just like a normal tattoo, but it’s almost impossible to do color there or do anything similar to realism.

With this in mind, we figure that part of the challenge for tonight, in addition to doing the tattoos themselves, will be convincing the canvases to be receptive to doing something a little bit easier, and something that the artists can actually finish. There’s a limited amount of time, and we certainly expect someone to tap out from all of the pain before we get to the finish line. The stakes for the winner are the same, but the further we go into the season, the more important winning these challenges becomes.
