‘The X Factor’ UK results: Did Lifeline Vote save Gifty Louise, Four of Diamonds, Ryan Lawrie from elimination?
Tonight, “The X Factor” of course had a tremendous amount of stuff going on, which really shouldn’t be much of a shock to anyone out there given that this is a show that has to do its best to justify being an hour long. This really could be done in about fifteen minutes if the producers really wanted it to be so!
Anyhow, we’re not going to spend much time talking about the performances from Louisa Johnson and Bruno Mars here, mostly because that’s not really the point of this article. (We do love Bruno, though!) The focus of this article is more to focus on the people who are in danger of getting eliminated, leading up to of course that big moment at the end of the episode. Before the show, we decided that Ryan Lawrie was the performer in the most danger of elimination based on his performance during Fright Night.
Lifeline Vote Contenders – Gifty Louise, Ryan Lawrie, Four of Diamonds. This feels rather predictable here on out. Gifty, who started the show and performed a relatively-unknown Fifth Harmony track, would likely be saved by Britain. Then, Four of Diamonds would win the sing-off … in a perfect world, anyway.
For those wondering how Honey G is still there, remember this: She’s very memorable, and we feel like there are a small group of people voting for her because they think it’s funny. It’s not some conspiracy, so put away your pitchforks.
Lifeline Vote Results – Ryan is safe! Well, we are wrong on one account. We think the problem with this is that it favors young viewers and app users, which to us equates to younger women voting for Ryan because they think he’s cute. Vocally, he’s no match for Gifty.
Results – Given owned the sing-off, which is no surprise. So why did she go home? This one’s hard to figure out for so many reasons, given that she probably had more pop-star potential than almost anyone else on the show this season. What was also ridiculous was Simon almost voting for Gifty to leave on accident — we’re not surprised that Louis wanted to save his own act, but what’s with Sharon Osbourne and Nicole Scherzinger? Maybe you can argue that is is tactical to get rid of a contender at this point if given the opportunity.
