‘Real Housewives of Orange County’ season 11 reunion part 1: Meghan’s pregnancy, Vicki’s regrets
With “The Real Housewives of Orange County” season 11 at a close we are ready to move into the reunion! What have the ladies been up to since they filmed and are they still harboring any bad feelings towards each other from the things that were said this season? Time to find out!
Want to hear more about Brooks? Of course you don’t, but Andy kicked off the first part of the reunion with nobody’s favorite topic. Vicki said she learned a lot from that situation, but it was mentioned that she was still “missing” Brooks while in Ireland. Unless you’ve been in a relationship like that, where you love a person you know is not only wrong for you but is just toxic in general, then it’s hard to understand when Vicki says she misses him. It doesn’t make any rational sense, but love doesn’t work like that. After turning Vicki up “like a candle”, she asks to move on from this topic and we all want to move on, so let’s move on Andy! If you want to know if Vicki is talking to anyone in the group she is, but only to 2 of the women and it’s Kelly and Meghan.
Speaking of Meghan we got to catch up with her a bit before she gives birth to her first daughter next month. Now that she’s having a child of her own Andy brought up the fact that she once said that having step-kids is the same as having one of your own and it was refreshing to hear Meghan still stand behind her love for her step-kids. As someone who has a very close relationship with their step mother, it’s nice to hear others being an advocate for those relationships being just as important as the relationship you have with your natural child. We love you for that Meghan.
The last big topic of the night was the 70’s party and Shannon’s friends ganging up on Kelly. Was Shannon involved? She still says no, but she did say that upon reflection that she sees that it looks like her friends were gunning for Kelly. While Shannon may not have orchestrated it, Kelly says that she antagonized the situation by pushing her two friends to tell stories about Kelly that were just a lot of gossip.
Typically for us the reunion shows are our least favorite episodes because it’s all fighting, everyone’s talking over each other and it’s just rehashing stuff we’ve already been over. This episode had so much of that we they were rehashing storylines from last season! The highlight for us was hearing all about Meghan’s pregnancy and how it hasn’t affected how much she loves her step-kids. That gives us the warm and fuzzies. Episode grade: B+
