‘Shark Tank’ preview: Potato Parcel, Lulu Bang sauces, UnPack, Sunscreenr, Grace & Lace

Tonight, we’ve got another new episode of “Shark Tank” coming on the air, and this one is going to give you a chance to see everything from food to messages on food to a suitcase innovation to a way to ensure that your sunblock is working. It’s one of the oddest assortments we’ve seen, and we wouldn’t be shocked if some of these products are too big of gambles for the Sharks to take.

Yet, at the same time we’re excited to see how tonight’s episode unfolds! Check out some of our quick-takes on the products below; we’ll be back for a full review later. (There will be an update tonight on Grace & Lace, a product that was just mentioned on the show last week and one that has become one of the show’s biggest success stories.)

Potato Parcel – This has to be the most ridiculous product to appear on the show since the NoPhone, given that it is basically a potato that you send to someone with a message or a photo on it. It is funny, but we don’t know how this is a sustainable business since it feels like the sort of thing that you would only do once or twice.

Lulu Bang – We love sauce. Shouldn’t everyone? We’re not sure how this will go over in the tank, mostly because food products are a very difficult sell. The good news for the ladies is that they aren’t on the show tonight with Barbara Corcoran, since her deal with Pork Barrel BBQ would probably be a conflict. This could just come down to taste and business savvy.

UnPack – Basically, this idea is a service where you can order a suitcase full of necessary stuff directly to your hotel such as clothing and toiletries. It’s a way for you to travel light and avoid having to deal with baggage fees or fighting with people on a plane for overhead space. (Trust us, we just had this happen earlier this week.) We like the idea, but how many people are going to be comfortable wearing clothes that aren’t their own?

Sunscreenr – While we’re not sure how many people will have the foresight to buy this, it is fairly brilliant. Basically, you can use this camera in order to see how much of your skin is protected from UV rays. It’s a way to ensure that you’re getting optimum skin protection without having to buy too many other bells and whistles. Just this, plus sunblock, and you may be good.
