‘Secrets and Lies’ season 2, episode 5 preview: Eric learns about Kate’s secrets

Where are we going to see the story go moving forward on ABC’s “Secrets and Lies”? We’ve learned a good bit about Eric just over the past several episodes, and in the process, we’re also going to be learning quite a bit about Kate, as well. She’s someone who clearly is not all that she seemed when it comes to her relationship with Eric, and as more and more secrets are revealed, it could in turn spell significant changes in the investigation.

Next week’s new episode is titled “The Daughter,” and that alludes to something that you’ll see in the promo below. The synopsis below presents a little bit of added insight into what is coming, including how Eric could be blindsided by some of the information that comes to light:

“Eric discovers that Danny is not who he appears to be, and it may cost Cornell her job. Meanwhile, Cornell reveals more of Kate’s secrets to an unsuspecting Eric, who begins to question the motives of even those closest to him. In a desperate search for answers, Eric and Patrick take a trip to visit someone from Kate’s past, who reveals an astonishing secret. Finally, Danny makes a last-ditch effort to secure Eric’s support, as he pursues his own agenda.”

We have a feeling that there are still some surprises that are not revealed here, and that is probably further amplified thanks to the recognition that we are still not even at the halfway point of this season. There is a lot of story still to come, and that should include some interesting twists and turns that (hopefully) we cannot predict even as of now.
