‘Westworld’: Evan Rachel Wood on changes brought about by series
There is yet another new episode of “Westworld” that is coming your way on HBO Sunday night, and we imagine that yet again, this is going to be an extremely powerful hour that combines the imagination of Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy with some wonderful effects and performances. There’s really not anything on TV like it, and the ratings are going up — suddenly, the huge investment that HBO made in this show is looking like it is going to pay off!
In looking back on the series, it absolutely feels like it had a rather big impression on most of the cast, as well. For some evidence of that, just take a look at what Evan Rachel Wood, who plays Delores on the series, had to say in an interview with Stuff out of New Zealand:
“She changed me … When I was done with the season, I was a different person. I found a new strength in myself just from playing her. I just ran to [executive producer] Lisa Joy when we wrapped and wept and hugged her and said thank you. I know what she’s done for me so I know what she’s going to do for other people. I felt like I became stronger. I felt like, after season one was done, [I felt] now I really feel like a woman. I felt like it was my bar mitzvah.”
Hopefully, Wood and the rest of the cast will be able to come back to continue telling this story moving forward. We know that there are still questions regarding the future of the series, but for now, we are pretty optimistic that the show will come back. Given the buzz it has, it’d be a shame not to see more.
