‘Bones’ season 12: David Boreanaz hints at January premiere, straight run to series finale
It may a little while still before we get some official news pertaining to the twelfth and final season of “Bones.” Yet, that doesn’t mean that it is wrong to start looking ahead in some capacity! We’ve got a lot to look forward to in these final episodes, whether it be returning guest stars (Eric Millegan and Eddie McClintock are just two examples), interesting stories, new threats, and hopefully tributes to everything that has happened on the show to date.
While we’d heard talk about a winter start to season 12 in the past, isn’t it nice to get some further verification that this is coming? In a post on Twitter, David Boreanaz himself mentioned that signs are pointing towards the show returning in January, and with a run of episodes that will go straight from the premiere through to the finale.
To some out there, the “consecutive” part of the equation may be the part that is the most celebrated, largely because of the sole fact that over the past two seasons, we’ve seen enormous hiatuses break things up. Season 11, for example, lasted all the way from the fall until July thanks to all sorts of breaks of various sizes.
In keeping the window for episodes tight, the great news is that the show will have a chance to establish and build momentum leading up to the series finale; also, it helps to further affirm that nobody’s going to be forgetting about the show in the process. Hopefully there are a couple of really fun classic “Bones” episodes in there, and we’d also love if there is a consistent through-line that takes us all the way from the premiere (which is picking up presumably following the Zack shocker) straight to the finale.

I’d like an anniversary ep where they have been married for 30 or 40 or 50 years. They could do flashbacks to show things they couldn’t cover during the season and things like how the kids turned out and things thye went through raising them.
