‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 13, episode 6 preview: A big return; Bailey determines Alex’s future

Next week’s “Grey’s Anatomy” is entitled “Roar,” and there is a part of us that makes us want to think that everyone will be dressing up as lion costumes in honor of it being Halloween. That’s probably not going to happen.

So what’s coming up instead? Well, we imagine that there will be some characters who have a “hear me roar” moment, while for others, they just have to get through the day. There’ll be a surprise return, and maybe even Alex figuring out his future once and for all after the incident with DeLuca from this past finale.

Synopsis – “A familiar face returns to Grey Sloan, throwing many of the doctors for a loop. With Catherine putting on the pressure, Bailey has to make a decision about Alex while a tough ER case makes Amelia’s bad day even worse.”

Given that Justin Chambers is a regular on the show, we’ll continue to hold out hope that this means he’ll be sticking around. As for Catherine and Bailey getting some potential screen time together, isn’t it easy to try and celebrate something like that?

Promo – This is where things start to get a little bit more intense, as Catherine warns Bailey that if she doesn’t take some action to replace Alex on the team, she will — and Bailey’s therefore going to have to figure out how far she’s willing to go for his sake. We do root for him to get his old job back, but at the same time, you cannot deny what he did. Not only that, but it feels as though he still has more to do to get to the point that he’s ready to come back.
