‘Gotham’ season 3, episode 6 preview: ‘Follow the White Rabbit’
Tonight on “Gotham,” we had all villains all the time, or at least it felt that way given the party in the wake of the Penguin becoming the Mayor. We found it personally to be very entertaining, and we certainly are interested in seeing where we got next week with “Mad City: Follow the White Rabbit.” We’re interested especially to see how this “Alice in Wonderland” inspired story fares in the wake of what happened to Alice, largely because it feels pretty darn clear that this is not going to be the same character we once saw back when was simply trying to hunt her down.
Given how many people are in the show’s cast, you of course assumed that there would be a few other stories that are told in this episode … right? Let’s hope so.
Synopsis – “Mad Hatter sets his eyes on his next victims, forcing Jim Gordon to make some tough decisions. Meanwhile, Penguin and Nygma’s relationship evolves, and a familiar face comes back into Nygma’s life.”
There are obviously some entertaining-sounding things in this episode, but given the “teaser” nature of much of the stuff in the synopsis, it’s pretty darn hard to know where this episode will take up!
Promo – This is where things get really interesting. Apparently, at some point we’re going to see the Mad Hatter force Jim Gordon into making a really dramatic choice: Lee Thompkins or Valerie Vale. Basically, this is a way to be both a heartbreaker and also cause someone to die at the same time. It’s not altogether shocking that Jervis is going to this level — he wants revenge, and wants it at all costs.
