‘Pretty Little Liars’ series finale: Saying goodbye to the moms
As of this week, the series finale of “Pretty Little Liars” is filming for Freeform, and just as you would imagine, this is going to be a super-emotional affair. Not everyone is going to be finished filming at the same time, and therefore, you’re going to have quite a few different occasions in which to say goodbye in the coming weeks.
For the sake of this article, we’re talking about the moms — you know, the women who somehow miraculously made it out of that basement after being trapped there in the summer portion of season 6. The video below comes via series creator Marlene King, and it features Lesley Fera (Spencer’s mom Veronica Hastings), Holly Marie Combs (Aria’s mom Ella Montgomry) and Laura Leighton (Hanna’s mom Ashley Marin) all being sent off in the best possible way via the cast and crew for all of their work. Not only did that play memorable characters, but we imagine that they were able to serve as mentors in many ways to some of the younger actors. They all had a chance to get to know the younger actors on the show well over the years and forge those bonds.
While this show is ending, acting is a business that goes almost 365 days a year. Therefore, we hope that there will be some other chances to see these women in the near future. The good news is that with the timing of the show’s end being what it is, we figure that there will be an opportunity or two for them coming up to be able to feature their talent even more elsewhere.
The final ten episodes of the show will premiere on Freeform in April 2017.
