‘Teen Wolf’ season 6: Show boss on (possible) returns before series finale
Given that the upcoming sixth season of “Teen Wolf” is poised to be its last, one thing that you should certainly expect to see play out here is a series of cameos / small appearances from people who have played integral parts on the show over the years. There are a lot of people who, at one point or another, were a big part of the show. It only seems right to have as many of them back as possible, provided that they are interested in returning and that there is a spot for them in the story.
While not much may be 100% confirmed just yet, showrunner Jeff Davis wants to make one thing very clear: He’s open to bringing as many different people back as possible, provided that they want on board. Here is what he had to say, per Deadline, while at New York Comic-Con:
“You wouldn’t believe the number of crazy ideas we’ve talked about in the writer’s room … It’s really hard to do a series finale. We have several unwritten episodes so we’ll see [in regards to cameos].”
If we were to share our own personal philosophy on this story, it is this: Give us the cameos before the series finale, and then focus in the last episode on honoring some of the people who’ve done great stuff and brought a lot to the table for the entire series. Focus on the story at hand there, and build up to it with familiar faces here and there.
Ultimately, though, Davis is right that no matter what he does or how much he emphasizes certain story elements, there are always going to be people who don’t the finale. You just have to look towards what is right for you.
