‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 13, episode 5 preview: Is Amelia pregnant with Owen’s baby?

The next new episode of “Grey’s Anatomy” carries with it the title of “Both Sides Now,” which is best known as a Joni Mitchell song. With that said, it’s also the title of one of our favorite episodes of “Outlander.” Let’s hope that, one way or another, the show finds a way to live up to all of that come next week when it airs.

While there are hardly any guarantees within this world for any particular thing to happen (this is Shonda Rhimes that we’re talking about!), we are rather grateful to have some additional news now courtesy of ABC.

Synopsis – “Meredith and Bailey are at odds when both of their patients need a liver transplant, Owen seeks help from the other doctors when he is charged with babysitting baby Harriet for the day, and Amelia struggles with telling Owen some important news.”

The big highlight, at least on a superficial level here, is Amelia and Owen’s “news.” Their relationship progressed rather quickly, so hopefully there’s not some sort of snap-back that comes of her revealing something to him. We’re constantly paranoid about the state of the two of them, and a lot of that stems from seeing them go through so many relationship ups and downs over the course of the series.

Promo – Well, this gives you some more insight into what this “news” could be — Amelia may be pregnant with Owen’s baby! That’s tremendously exciting news that makes us feel like the two parties could have the future that they want together. The problem is that she doesn’t seem to know for sure, and is treating this almost like a gut feeling. Let’s hope that she is right.
