‘Supergirl’ season 2, episode 2 preview: Project Cadmus problems; Snapper Carr debuts
The second season of “Supergirl” premiered on The CW Monday night with action, humor, and above all else Superman. It was great to see the arrival of Clark Kent on the show, and to see the face of Winn as soon as he realized he was in his presence. It was equally funny when Cat Grant’s history with Clark started to become revealed.
Next week’s new episode, we are going to see things amped up when it comes to action, heroics, and all of that good stuff as we start to get to know Project Cadmus better. This group is going to serve as the primary adversary to Melissa Benoist’s character for the majority of the first part of this season, and they have the ability to come up with some seriously dangerous foes.
Synopsis – “CADMUS attacks National City with a kryptonite powered villain who ends up seriously hurting Supergirl (Melissa Benoist). Superman (guest star Tyler Hoechlin) blames Hank (David Harewood) because the kryptonite was stolen from the DEO. Meanwhile, Kara’s first day at her new job doesn’t go as planned after she meets her new boss, Snapper Carr (guest star Ian Gomez).”
Basically, the tension between Hank and Clark could stem from some sort of shared event in the past. One of the important things Kara is realizing is just how deep her cousin’s history runs with so many people in her world. The one thing we do have to wonder is whether or not this history could end up influencing her in some sort of unexpected way.
Promo – This is largely about Metallo, who was reborn by Project Cadmus in order to destroy Supergirl and Superman. He’s definitely dangerous, mostly because the source of his strength is also their weakness.
