Is ‘Quantico’ season 2, episode 3 new tonight? A tease for down the road

We don’t want to mince words or make you read this article for a long time before getting answers. Therefore, let’s get right to it: There is no new episode of “Quantico” airing on ABC tonight. The Presidential Debate is on, which we’re sure for some is equally as intense as anything that happens on scripted television.

The series starring Priyanka Chopra (and featuring a prominent role this season for Blair Underwood) will be returning with new episodes in one week’s time, and with an episode that will offer hopefully some insight into the shocker at the end of “Lipstick” seven days ago: Miranda’s involvement in the hostage situation. What she knows remains uncertain, but clearly she has more going on with it than Alex or anyone else realizes.

What we want to do for a moment is look beyond next week’s episode for a minute to the October 23 installment entitled “Kubard.” Thanks to ABC, we’ve got a few teasers for what will be important in this hour.

1. You will see Alex attempt to get closer to Underwood’s Owen, while experiencing a vigorous training exercise that will test precisely how Alex and others handle high stress.

2. In the future, the hostage crisis is going to continue, but there could be a way out of it: A trade, which could cause everyone to get to a point where there are further negotiations. On paper, this may sound like progress, but you have to remember one very simple thing at present: It is not entirely clear what the other side wants out of said trade.
