‘Power’ season 4: First look at Sung Kang on set
The fourth season of “Power” is already falling into our “much-anticipated” category, but here’s the bad news: We’re still a heck of a long ways from it premiering. Season 3 ended a mere matter of weeks ago, so for now we’re simply celebrating the sole fact that the show is back in production. That turnaround is a little faster than what we tend to see elsewhere.
Also, we’ve got a first look below, via the show’s official Twitter account, at one of the season’s new additions in “The Fast and the Furious” franchise star Sung Kang. To date, there isn’t too much known about the character beyond what we reported this summer: He’s someone who will have an impact almost right away in season 4, and that impact will be specifically related to Lela Loren’s character of Angela. We like to imagine that Kang is dressed for whatever his role may be, since it’s hard to imagine him wearing that sort of suit just to wander around set.
There are several different possibilities for who Kang’s character could be judging from how season 3 came to a close: With Angela making the most to arrest James St. Patrick right when he was on the cusp of the Truth nightclub brand going global. This came following the death of Greg, which she blamed on her ex due to the obvious connections that were there. What nobody seems to realize, at least for right now, is that Mike Sandoval is actually the mole and the man responsible.
Could we be looking at a battle of attorneys in this season based on the photo? Given that Loren is posing with Kang and Jerry Ferrara (who plays attorney Joe Proctor), it’s certainly possible.
Now that we’ve handed down all this, we’re going back into waiting mode and are at the mercy of Starz releasing more information / teasers on what’s next. There is no immediate rush for them to do so, but we do find that this network in particular’s good about handing down teasers here and there to keep us engaged.
