‘Big Brother OTT’ spoilers: Julie Chen’s first chat with the houseguests
For those of you wondering whether or not Julie Chen would have any reaction with the “Big Brother OTT” houseguests at all this season other than prerecorded video messages (it was looking rather dire for a while there), good news: At around 2:00 p.m. Big Brother Time this afternoon, the host came on the television in the house to announce that there would be a brief live question-and-answer session.
Ultimately, we think that these moving forward are probably going to be significantly more fun for some of the people playing the game than they are for us, given that we learn almost nothing about the players or their strategies over the course of them. Everyone is going to be nice given that they are A) having a conversation with Julie and are hyper-aware that viewers are watching and B) talking while everyone else was around. The live Diary Rooms were far more effective in producing real entertainment.
There were a couple of funny things that Julie did touch on in here:
1. Reminding Monte oh-so-casually that he nominated three people over the course of this past week, and none of them ended up going home in the end.
2. Talking with Justin about how much he knew about “Big Brother” going into the game. This was a guy who was only told about the live feeds a few days ago, which is something he really should have known about beforehand given him just casually walking out of the shower earlier on in the feeds.
3. Talking with Shelby about whether or not everyone is getting along, with her knowing that the general perception of her in the game is as a rather-abrasive personality.
