‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 13 spoilers: Will Maggie stop her pursuit of Riggs?

Grey's Anatomy

Judging from what happened recently on “Grey’s Anatomy” when it comes to to the character of Maggie with Riggs, you would think on paper that she would be done with this and ready to push forward in a completely different direction. As it turns out, not so much! Despite being rejected, some indications now are suggestion that she is only going to continue with her advances in order to win him over.

In explaining this particular problem further, here’s what Martin Henderson had to say to Entertainment Weekly:

“Maggie actually starts to think that Riggs is now just playing a bit hard to get … So it’s this farcical triangle where nobody’s believing the other person. Everyone’s got these mixed intentions, and they’re all getting bundled up, and no one really knows who likes who for what reason. So it continues to actually become quite funny.”

It is fairly easy to determine what the primary problem here is, and that is that Meredith and Riggs still haven’t stepped up and just told Maggie the truth about everything that went down. If they did, odds are that we’d probably be looking at a very different situation now than the one that they are — maybe Maggie would even be supportive of the the two of them together eventually.

Unfortunately, here’s the issue that we foresee Meredith and Riggs running into for a little while to come: The longer that they choose to keep this secret from Maggie, the harder she is going to take it, and as a result of that, the more difficult we’re going to imagine the recovery process being.
