‘Arrow’ / ‘The Flash’ / ‘Supergirl’ / ‘Legends of Tomorrow’ crossover reveals its villains

The four-way crossover coming with all of the CW superhero shows (see the title) is coming a little bit later this year, and we’ve just got a chance to figure out its villains.

Per Deadline, we’re going to be seeing over the course of these episodes (which include the 100th installment of “Arrow“) the Dominators as the primary villains. They are an alien race best known for a short run in DC Comics, and their presence here could signal their attempts to invade earth to figure out how to produce their own army of metas. They are masters at manipulating genetics, and can do almost anything in an effort to further pursue their end-goals.

Given that these characters have yellow skin and crazy teeth, we imagine that either the costuming or the CGI departments for “Arrow,” “Legends of Tomorrow,” “Supergirl,” and “The Flash” are going to have their hands full trying to make all of this work. Luckily, we know through “The Flash” (see specifically King Shark) that the team with this show are masters of being able to do a lot with a significantly smaller budget than you see in the feature films.

Of the shows involved, we figure that “Arrow” will have the biggest challenge in terms of figuring this out and having it make some sense. After all, you just have to remember here that this is a show grounded in some sort of reality, and now you’re asking it to go way far beyond its traditional limits in order to make an adequate story work. We certainly wish them the best in figuring this out, especially since we’re talking about a milestone.
