‘Quantico’ season 2 spoilers: Meet the mysterious crying roommate

Who was the crying roommate at the end of “Quantico” season 2? That is a worthy question, given that we rarely saw her until the closing minutes of the episode. She’s clearly going to be around Alex Parrish for some time, and hopefully, she is going to have a role to play in this story before we come to a close.

What we can tell you for now is that Pearl Thusi is playing that character, whose name is Dayana Mampasi. Speaking in a new interview with TVLine, executive producer Josh Safran had the following to say about the role:

“I hate to say she’s the Shelby of Season 2, but by that I mean, she’s an incredibly accomplished business woman who is now here in the CIA, which is not a world that she thought she’d be in.”

The good news that we can pass along right now for Dayana is that she does have a tremendous ally in her corner in Alex Parrish, someone who we know is going to do more or less everything that she can in order to ensure that she not only remains focused on training, but that she keeps it together. Why? She’s been through this before, and if they form a friendship, she could prove herself to be quite an ally. The only fear is that Alex, after being burned once already on this season, makes a decision to not trust anyone anymore. Then, she could be in some further trouble.
