‘Dancing with the Stars 23’ results: Was Maureen McCormick, Amber Rose, Jake T. Austin, or Ryan Lochte eliminated?
Tonight brought an end to the two-night “Dancing with the Stars” premiere, and with that of course meant that we’d get to the see the first elimination. It’s common knowledge at this point that the worst Star is not always the first one sent home, which is why it wasn’t much of a surprise to see Rick Perry handed safety so he could move forward to the next phase of the competition.
The first names declared to be in jeopardy over the course of the show were Maureen McCormick, Jake T. Austin, and Ryan Lochte, but we definitely felt like the latter being in there (these are not necessarily the bottom vote-getters) was just a plot for further drama. Amber Rose was also declared in jeopardy later, so other than Ryan, we weren’t surprised by anyone who landed in the bottom.
The result tonight does SHOCK us even with some members of the bottom being predictable — Jake is done, and with that he’ll have to spend the rest of the season watching from the sideline. We’ll be back tomorrow to postmortem what went wrong for him this season, but we think the biggest offenders right now for him include not having enough fun with it the first week (he was better in the second), and also having a partner in Jenna Johnson who’d never done the show as a pro before. She doesn’t have the following of some of the others, and we feel for her tonight since she’s probably taking this every bit as hard as Jake is.
