‘Mr. Robot’ season 3: Rami Malek already filmed a scene
While “Mr. Robot” season 2 is not over, Rami Malek made at least one thing clear on the upcoming third season: He’s already filmed at least one scene of it.
Speaking per Deadline while in the press room at the Emmys (where he was victorious in the Actor in a Drama Series category), the actor made the revelation after joking with the press that he was not going to say a single thing about what is coming up. Granted, this isn’t a plot spoiler or anything of the sort; it’s just interesting, and you have to wonder why he already filmed something given that we can’t imagine that many scripts are even written yet beyond season 2.
If we had to guess, maybe it could be something that was filmed potentially for this current season and was ultimately saved for later; or, maybe it needed a certain set that may not be available next year. There are a lot of possibilities out there.
One thing we do know is that the season 2 finale has a lot of work cut out for it, given that the show needs to give us more information on Tyrell’s return to go along with further scoop on Darlene’s fate and also whether or not Stage 2 (whatever it is) will be complete by the time we make it to the end of this. Hopefully, we’re not going to see Elliot get shipped off to prison again anytime soon. Been there, and certainly already done that.
