‘Agents of SHIELD’ season 4 video: Ghost Rider is ready for vengeance

With the fourth season almost upon us, Marvel’s “Agents of SHIELD” is doing its part to give us a little bit more goodness. Specifically, what we’ve got below is another bit of evidence that the show has an awesome take on Ghost Rider ahead, and it’s someone you could cheer for at times and worry about at others.

While there are almost no spoilers in here at all, the visuals here really do give us a sense that this is a character ABC knows that they absolutely need to get right for a number of different reasons. For one, this isn’t just a throwaway character they can replace later; Ghost Rider, even if this is the Robbie Reyes version, is possibly the most famous comic character to be brought onto this show. We also contend that there’s a possible spin-off that could come out of this, and he could have a role in the movies down the line. You really do need to nail this.

The one thing that we do hope for is that somewhere along the line here, Marvel does decide to give us a little bit of an introduction as to how Robbie came to have the Spirit of Vengeance. Through the earlier days of the MCU we think they were a little more willing to delve into origin stories. Now, we’re seeing that a little bit less and less. For example, their Spider-Man already has his powers, and we’ve also met other characters with their identity fully assured.
