Emmys 2016: Where to live stream, watch red-carpet pre-show
Fans of the Emmys, tonight’s going to be a big night! We’re going to be watching in order to offer up a wide array of analysis on the winners and the big moments of the show, but we know at the same time that there are plenty of other reasons for people to watch — including for the fashion.
So where can you check out all of the red-carpet coverage? Well, the best place to do so is going to continue to be none other than E!, who broadcasts specials like nobody’s business. Their coverage certainly is better when they get rid of all of the “fancy” cameras, so hopefully they stick to the basics this time around. Their coverage starts at 4:30 p.m. Eastern time, but it could be 6:00 before they really start to get things going.
If you’re looking for a valid live-stream option for part of the red-carpet show, there are some options — but most of them could require validating a cable package. Take, for example, ABC’s official site — which will allow you to start watching their own pre-show Emmy special starting at around 7:00 p.m. Eastern or even the awards themselves. There may be some other options depending on your market, but ultimately you may be better off looking at photos after the fact if you are located outside of the USA. So many unauthorized live streams can cause problems for your computer, so we personally do not advocate trying any of them out.
