‘Masters of Sex’ season 4, episode 2 video: Bill’s remorse; the past comes back

Last weekend’s premiere of “Masters of Sex” on Showtime did a fairly good job of establishing precisely where we are right now within the world of the series. With that in mind, what happens next now that Masters and Johnson are trying to move forward with their clinic? Well, part of the equation is going to be trying to bring in new people, but when they start having a few questions about the past, there may be a whole new set of problems that need to be dealt with.

The synopsis below offers up a nice little snapshot of precisely what you can expect to see unfold with this story:

“Masters and Johnson turn to new partners in an effort to put the past behind them and focus on their expanding clinic. Given their fractured triangle, Libby reevaluates her relationship with Bill and Virginia.”

Ultimately, our biggest hope with the series moving forward is that we get an opportunity now to see things build back up slowly between Masters and Johnson, since they’ve torn down some of the walls now and are in a position where they are focusing somewhat on the work. The last time that really happened for the two of them, we know how it ended up for the two of them.

As for Libby, she probably has the best moment of the entire promo when she tells Bill that the only thing he should be ashamed of is himself for some of the terrible actions he has committed against her and their family.
