‘Once Upon a Time’ season 6 spoilers: The latest secret keeper

Remember how we’ve been saying that there could be some tension coming for Hook and Emma on “Once Upon a Time,” despite them starting off in a good place? Well, we’ve got a little bit more of an indication as to what this said tension could be about.

According to a new report coming in right now from TV Guide, we are going to see these two characters on the show coming up in an awkward position mostly because of Emma and some sort of secret that she will decide to keep from him in the early going. Whatever this secret is, we really hope that it is one significant enough for this story to make some sense. (Co-showrunner Edward Kitsis claims that it is a “very, very big secret,” if that makes you feel any better about the nature of what it is she is keeping.)

Our biggest fear with this sort of story is that it is drama for the sake of there being drama, which is something that we really don’t need on this show anymore given that we’ve had so much of it over the years already. Also, sooner or later don’t these characters need to realize that they could be better off trusting each other? While we know that there are risks associated with it, these are people who should realize by now that they are much stronger together than they are separately.

The new season of “Once Upon a Time” is going to be premiering on ABC a little bit later this month, and we’re of course going to have further news on it soon.
