‘Gotham’ season 3 video: Oswald forges his own path

We’ve said as of late that “Gotham” season 3 has done a fairly tremendous job of releasing various previews geared around a number of different characters, and today, we’ve got the latest one for you below geared around one of the most interesting subjects to date: Oswald Cobblepot a.k.a. the Penguin.

In this video preview, you can see Robin Lord Taylor’s character making his mission statement ultimately rather clear: He is willing to do just about everything that he can in order to ensure that he seizes control on the whole monsters-in-Gotham-City problem, and he makes it clear that if the police are not going to do something, he will.

The great thing about this particular storyline for Penguin is that it represents a potential resurgence for him towards being the King of Gotham once more. During season 2, he had a little bit of the power without enough experience to know how to handle it. He may have flew a little too close to the sun. This time around, however, he is in a little bit of a different position, and he knows a little bit more about what it means to be a leader. You need to make other people believe first and foremost that you’re the right person for the job, and you can’t just kill your way to getting the spot and expect to stay on top.

Given that Oswald was handed a little bit of a back seat at times during the second half of season 2, we’re hoping more than anything that this could mark an opportunity to rise to prominence once more. Ultimately, we’re going to have a prime opportunity to see when the series returns.
