‘Dancing with the Stars 23’ host Tom Bergon describes Ryan Lochte confrontation, aftermath
Of course, the big news of the day is still the protest that happened against Ryan Lochte on last night’s “Dancing with the Stars” performance show, and the aftermath that resulted in multiple people being thrown out. Specifically, there were two arrests made of the men who decides to rush the stage in protest of what was happening on the floor.
While it was a scary situation, it all happened so quickly that there wasn’t a lot of time to see it unfold. This is something that host Tom Bergeron described further in his latest comments on “Good Morning America” on Tuesday:
“It’s not uncommon for there to be a lot of noise here, a lot of cheering, a lot of jeering when people don’t like the judges’ comments. It wasn’t really until I saw Carrie Ann [Inaba’s] expression change that I got the sense something more was going on, and I turned and honestly, by the time I saw the two guys coming with their T-shirts, our security team had them sucking the floor … It all happened very quickly.”
Bergeron also explained that the show has a very good security system for people attending the live shows, as bags are checked and there are metal detectors to ensure the safety of the people in attendance. Unfortunately, this sort of stunt proves that sometimes there are ways around this. (We don’t know precisely how these people did this, but our guess is that they had these shirts on under the ones they wore into the studio.)
