Will a ‘Supergirl’ season 2 trailer arrive soon?

Supergirl -

We know that the second season of “Supergirl” is coming to The CW at some point next month. However, there is one thing that we have yet to see from it that other shows on the network have: A full trailer, or even just a promo. In the case of the other Greg Berlanti-produced superhero shows, they all had trailers at San Diego Comic-Con, and since that time some other footage here and there has also been released.

So what’s the fundamental difference between all of these shows? At first glance, the shooting schedule can be looked at as a reason for the delay. “Supergirl” started production a little bit later than some of the other series, so as a result of that, they have to play a little bit of catch-up in order to make sure that they have enough material.

However, at this point (more than a month has passed since Comic-Con), you would want to think that there would be more than enough time within there for the show to get enough footage together. Therefore, our guess is simply that they were getting together the special effects for something awesome, and will probably reveal it soon. We would be shocked if the new trailer was not out over the course of the next several weeks, especially when you consider for a moment one especially-big thing that they have to promote in Superman. Given that he is one of the most well-known heroes of all time, don’t you want to give casual viewers a chance to learn that he is coming on and catch up if they’re not on top of things already?

Maybe The CW is waiting for a special occasion to premiere a trailer, but with no major programming on that front over the next couple of weeks, they are really keeping us guessing on the timing.
