‘American Horror Story’ season 6 promo features Lady Gaga’s ‘Perfect Illusion’ single
The sixth season of “American Horror Story” is premiering on Wednesday night, and it’s crazy to think about that when you consider how very little buzz there has been about it. Normally by now there have been a million little teasers, the theme of the season and the whole cast revealed, but there has barely been a whisper about it. This is intentional on the part of FX, who seems to want to get fans excited about the endless possibilities thanks to the few promos they’ve released. It’s ultimately very hard to be excited about something when you don’t know what you are being excited about and after a not so great season 5, they really should be doing more to put people’s minds at rest.
We will say that the one thing that we are the most terrified about is that spiders could be a major part of the new season, given that they continue to show up in various previews / posters for the show. The latest thirty-second promo below is in many ways a compilation of a lot of different ones that we’ve seen so far this season, and they all have the backing track of Lady Gaga’s new single “Perfect Illusion.”
In case you’re wondering, Gaga did say earlier this year that she planned on returning to the series in some capacity for the new season, but it remains unclear just what her role will be and how long she will be around. There are very few confirmed participants this time, other than maybe Cheyenne Jackson, Lady Gaga, and Sarah Paulson. While we believe that Evan Peters remains a part of it, he has remained extremely hush-hush on his own plans.
While this new promo may be largely a cross-promotion, we will say that Gaga’s song matches the show fairly well, and it’s pretty darn catchy to go along with it.
